What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial automation and control systems at customer facilities.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic failures in PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, HMIs, motors, and CNC equipment.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify not only the failure, but the underlying issue causing repeat downtime.
- Use electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools to evaluate system performance.
- Support equipment startups, commissioning, and system optimization projects.
- Document findings, repairs, and recommendations in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
- Partner with customers' maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and production performance.
- Work closely with Galco's repair, engineering, and parts teams to provide complete solutions.
- Travel to customer locations for emergency service, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting assignments.

Preferred
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance, field service, automation, or electronics troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with:
- PLC troubleshooting
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Servo systems
- Motor controls
- Industrial networks
- Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic theory.
- Ability to use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
- Military electronics training
- Industrial maintenance technicians looking to move into field service
- Recent technical school graduates with strong troubleshooting aptitude and a passion for learning
- Work on a wide variety of industrial technologies and applications.
